Development Office Intern
Needed: motivated, organized students who seek an internship at a full-service non-profit organization servicing young Latinas aspiring to complete their education via a holistic educational learning. Ideal candidates are juniors and seniors who will commit a block of time based on their schedule and the needs of the organization. Flexible hours recognized. Office hours are Monday –Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Click here to review qualifications. Are you looking to gain “real-life” experience in the dynamic field of marketing, public relations, social media, graphic design and communications? The Communications/Marketing Intern Position Description at Con Mi MADRE will work on specific projects to ensure exceptional communication between Con Mi MADRE and its constituency including: local media, donors, and partnering organizations. Help represent Con Mi MADRE at special events and learn effective marketing strategy from conception to execution.
Programming interns have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in a successful non-profit. Con Mi MADRE works with interns to identify goals for the semester and put what they have learned in school into practice while gaining new skills.
Senior Advising Program
As a Senior Advisor you will be paired up with one of our current seniors to guide them through the college application process. Advisors help the girls make decisions about college, fill out the college application, and financial aid applications. Learn more.
Are you an expert on financial aid? Is there a particular subject affecting middle and high school girls that you know a lot about? Are you an outreach professional for a local social service organization? Then we need you! We have regular opportunities available for you to share your knowledge and experience with our mothers and daughters. Speaking engagements include mother/daughter conferences, workshops, and campus meetings. We want to hear what you have to share! Email Karen Gonzalez.
Conferences and Special Events
Keeping up with so many families is quite a task, so we are always looking for a few extra helping hands with check-in, set-up and supervision. This is a great way to get to know many of our families and other volunteers! Email Karen Gonzalez.

Con Mi MADRE conducts spring 5th grade recruitment meetings at select Austin area elementary schools. Students and parents must apply to join our program and fulfill certain requirements. Once accepted into our program, students and parents begin their participation the following fall in 6th grade.
No longer in 5th grade? No worries, you can still join!
